Annual
"Campground Contest" August 1, 2009
If
you're a Folk Fest veteran, you know that a lot of great music
can be heard around the camp on Friday and Saturday night as
friends and family gather around the campfire. So, we decided
to give all of those musicians a chance to compete to be heard
by the entire Folk Festival crowd!
Solo,
duo, and group acts are welcome. The Plain Label Stringband
will judge the acts during the
break on Saturday afternoon. The winning act will have 15 minutes
to play their hearts out in front
of the crazed Saturday night crowd and OPEN for the big closing
set! They'll also win $30.30.
Note: In order to make the contest more about having fun
and to put less pressure on the judges,
we've decided to not have "large" cash prizes.

describes your music along with contact information to info@fotm.org
and include "FOLK MUSIC CONTEST" in the subject line.
