once upon an accordion

Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998
Jeschke Auditorium
University of Sioux Falls

Once upon an accordian features three masters of the "box", from three different countries.

Daniel Thonon is known to American audiences for his work with the French/Quebecois band Ad Vielle Que Pourra. Chris Parkinson plays music from the British Isles and tours North America with The House Band. John Whelan holds a number of championships for performing Irish music and is known for his dynamic shows with the Kipos Bay Ceili Band. Whelan has played Carnegie Hall and accompanied Michael Flatley in the sensational dance show that would later become known as Riverdance.

Here's a fair warning to those of you faint of heart; this show rocks and is guaranteed to get everyone pumped up!
