The social hour begins at 6:15 p.m. Festivities begin at 6:45 p.m., with the poetry of Robert Burns and a front set by Dakota District Pipes & Drums. The Minneapolis group Piper's Crow will begin at 8:00 p.m., performing traditional music from Scotland, Ireland, Nova Scotia and other lands in the Celtic realm. Piper's Crow features Laura MacKenzie on wooden flute, whistle, pipes and vocals; Dick Hensold on Northumbrian smallpipes, whistle and recorder; Karen Mueller on guitar, bouzouki and autoharp; and Zack Kline on fiddle and octave violin, www.piperscrow.com. The Minneapolis Star Tribune has called Pipers Crow "An all-star Celtic band ... Certainly the quartets' mix of jigs, slides and hornpipes is infectious, frisky, expert and crowd pleasing..."
