Fall Festival and Candlelight Walk

Come out and enjoy the crisp fall weather in beautiful Newton Hills State Park.. From 1:00 - 5:00, Clay County Breakdown will be providing music and there will be all sorts of fun activities, including kids crafts and games, pumpkin catapulting, demonstrations of candlemaking, ropemaking, spinning, and Dutch Oven cooking. The Candlelight Walk from 7:15pm - 8:30pm features clusters of musicians providing music along a candlelit trail. The Sioux Falls Astronomy Club will have telescopes set up for your viewing pleasure. All activities are FREE. (All you need is a SD State Park pass.)

9th Annual Gathering of the Clans and Burns Night

Social hour at 6:15, with festivities starting at 6:45, including poetry by Robert Burns and the front set by Dakota District Pipes and Drums. The featured act, Piper's Crow, performs at 8:00pm.. From Minneapolis, they feature music from Scotland, Ireland, Nova Scotia, and other Celtic lands. Admission is $15 for adults. Children 12 and under admitted free with an adult.
