Newton Hills State Park is comprised of over 840 densely wooded acres. The oak covered hills provide an ideal environment for a wide variety of plants and animals. Located six miles south of Canton, South Dakota the park offers visitors a 123 unit campground with electrical hookups, modern comfort stations with hot showers and camping cabins. 

Camping Reservations
Reservations can only be made through a central 1-800 number and can be made only 90 days in advance.
Call early to reserve your spot. All Camping fees must be paid at the time of your reservation.

Just a Reminder...

  • First aid is available on site

  • No grilling or cooking allowed in the concert area

  • Pets welcome if they are leashed

  • Please take all your trash with you -

  • including cigarette butts - when you leave.

What to bring...

  • lawn chairs - blanket

  • sunscreen - hat - umbrella

  • checkbook - bug repellent

  • coolers are welcome as beer is not available for purchase.
